Solomonic unveils new Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Module

Solomonic’s latest dataset, the Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Module, keeps litigators informed of current trends, supported with robust data and developed in partnership with Stewarts.

The UK’s fast-growing legal data company, Solomonic, has launched its highly anticipated Personal Injury (PI) and Clinical Negligence Module. This innovative litigation data and analytics platform has revolutionised practice for over 7,000 of the UK’s leading litigators and the new module delivers unprecedented insights into injury and clinical negligence claims, encompassing a comprehensive dataset of almost 20,000 serious injury cases - broadening possibilities for litigation professionals.

PI and clinical negligence claimant lawyers help clients who have been wrongfully harmed in accidents or medical treatment. In personal injury cases defendant insurance companies typically handle the claims process, with employers and local authorities frequently involved in workplace accidents and public space incidents. Solomonic’s data also surfaces over 5,000 clinical negligence claims issued against NHS bodies, of which more than 1,800 are still active.

Top ranked firm Stewarts, who have significant expertise in serious injury claims as well as a dedicated injuries knowledge development lawyer, provided input and guidance to Solomonic in the development of this new module.

Julian Chamberlayne, Partner at Stewarts, shared his enthusiasm for the module’s release, stating, “This new module is a powerful tool for practitioners specialising in complex personal injury and clinical negligence claims. Having access to Solomonic’s large, real-time dataset, in addition to our own outcomes data, enhances our team’s ability to provide clients with data-informed advice. It also helps our lawyers stay ahead of industry trends and developments.

Now available to thousands of users, the module enables real-time tracking of new claims and ongoing legal proceedings, supporting several key applications:

  1. Market intelligence - Identify market trends, uncover new business opportunities and leverage personal injury alerts delivered daily. This feature allows both large and small firms to stay informed on emerging claims, monitor existing clients and respond quickly to new cases.

  2. Client expectation management - With data on timelines and outcomes, practitioners can set realistic expectations for clients, reduce uncertainties and draw on case histories to better explain case progression.

  3. Extensive expert, counsel and judicial insight - Due diligence in one place, enabling lawyers to review judges’ prior rulings, offering insight into trial tendencies and preferences, along with judicial comments on expert witnesses.

Edward Bird, Solomonic’s CEO, added, “The launch of this module signals yet another significant step forward in our mission to empower litigators with actionable insights. With this module, practitioners are no longer guessing about case trends, awards or judicial behaviour – they’re making informed decisions that can directly influence case outcomes and client satisfaction.

Bird also highlighted the benefits of Solomonic’s collaborative approach with leading serious injury specialist lawyers from Stewarts: “We started working with Stewarts way back in 2018, before we launched our Commercial Court data. We are delighted to work so closely again with them to tailor this module to the real needs of practitioners in complex personal injury and clinical negligence claims. The insights here are invaluable and we’re thrilled to bring them to market with Stewarts’ support and expertise.”
